Our Children's House
Our Montessori environment is specially designed for children between ages 2y 9m and 6. Dr. Maria Montessori called the classroom for this age Casa Dei Bambini (Children's House). When children join our environment, they have already created the foundations of their personalities, and are ready to develop their abilities. They learn best by using their hands and mind together. We support the whole development of the child based on scientific observation. This allows us to help all children develop skills essential for life and academics. Those skills include but are not limited to concentration, love of learning, independence, self-discipline, self-expression, decision-making, and problem-solving!
When children start in our program, they are more self-centered as they spent the first 3 years of their life constructing themselves as individuals. In the Children's House, they continue this self-construction while graduating recognizing that they are part of a community too. Around age 6, most children are ready to leave the Children's House as sociable, respectful, and caring human beings who are also able to express their own needs and emotions. The Montessori Materials are carefully designed to support independence and a love of learning. Our classroom has five main areas: Practical Life, Sensorial, Culture, Language, and Mathematics. Our trained teachers guide the children along a joyful journey of learning and discovery!
Tardes Program
Fully Spanish!
Our Tardes Program (After School) is our unique way to support our Children who are learning Spanish as a second or third language. It is also a great opportunity for all children to build a stronger bond together and a greater sense of independence.
Open to all children who are enrolled in Violeta, the program is led by two of our team: Rudy Rodriguez-Roman and Carmen Parga Ures who are both Spanish speakers.

Lunch & Snack
Parents send lunch with their children every day. Teachers sit and eat with the children and serve as role models.
We worked with a nutritionist to develop a healthy and balanced snack list for the whole year. Each Friday, one family gets a list of Snacks to purchase for the classroom community for the next week. It is a great opportunity to allow the child to bring snacks (and flowers) to the classroom community on Monday, and they are usually very proud to do that!
Children may chose to eat snack during the morning work cycle. Children who stay for Tardes (extended day) have a time for an afternoon snack.
